MORRISTOWN, Tenn. —
Motion upholstery resource Berkline has reorganized its sales management team by naming two regional vice presidents and a director of sales education.
The company said Doug Henderson, who had been director of business development, is eastern regional vice president of sales, while David Cribbs, a senior sales representative for the Illinois and Indiana territory, has been named western regional vice president of sales.
In addition, Bob Bruns, a sales manager in the Michigan territory, has been named director of sales education.
All three are newly created positions at Berkline, which specializes in reclining chairs, sofas and home theater seating.
Henderson joined the company in 2008 after a 25-year career in sales and management posts with fabric producers Joan and MasterCraft.
Cribbs has been with Berkline since 1991 and earlier was a sales representative for Schnadig.
“Doug and David's years of experience will help us continue to strengthen our customer relationships and meet the needs of all of our retailers,” said Grey Hunsucker, vice president of sales. “They'll also play an important role in supporting our sales reps in the field and helping Berkline continue to grow market share.”
Bruns will continue to work in the Michigan territory, but will work closely with Henderson and Cribbs, as well as the merchandising and operations departments, in the sales education post.
“The initiative will provide reps with tools they can use to help retailers in a variety of ways, including getting beyond what remains a challenging economic environment,” said Hunsucker.
