Buyer registration running strong for March Premarket

HIGH POINT —
More buyers have signed up for this month's High Point Premarket than for any such event since Premarket was re-launched about three years ago, according to the High Point Market Authority.
As of last week, 161 buyers from 70 companies had registered for the March 15-16 event, officials said.
“The response we have received from retailers this season is energizing for all of the companies involved in the Premarket movement,” said Kevin O'Connor, a sponsor and CEO of Samson Marketing, parent of furniture sources Legacy Classic and Universal.
Premarket is held about a month before each High Point Market and aims to give retailers a chance to preview major product collections, secure distribution and strengthen relationships with key vendors and company principals.
A number of exhibitors are sponsoring Premarket. The sponsors also include three showroom operators — 220 Elm, International Home Furnishings Center and Merchandise Mart Properties — that have tenants participating in Premarket. Sponsors provide funds for buyer meals, lodging and ground transportation. Dozens of other exhibitors also open their doors for Premarket.
