Textile executives form Home Accent Fabrics
Ronnie Gold, Lee Kabat team up in new venture

HARRISON, N.Y. — Textile executives Ronnie Gold and Lee Kabat have formed a new company, Home Accent Fabrics.
According to a news release, the new company's primary focus "is to provide stylish, fresh and well-valued product to the upholstery industry, filling a void for cotton yarn-dyed fabrics with mass market appeal."
Gold was design director for Bloomcraft Home Furniture Division, and earlier was vice president of design for West Point Stevens. Kabat was corporate vice president of fabric source P/Kaufmann, and was instrumental in establishing that company's Shanghai office.
Home Accent Fabrics is a hybrid of an old-line converter and a contemporary sourcing company. The company said its "target base understands the need to offer fashionable product at a compelling price and embraces new ways of working."
