Vaughan-Bassett receives $300,000 grant for plant expansion
Case goods producer will add 50,000 square feet, 30 jobs

GALAX, Va. — Virginia's governor has announced a $300,000 Community Development Block Grant to this city to support an expansion of the Vaughan-Bassett furniture plant, according to a WSLS-TV report.The project will support infrastructure improvements to accommodate a 50,000-square-foot addition to the case goods manufacturer's facility, which will result in the creation of 30 jobs, according to Gov. Bob McDonnell's office.
The block grant program is federally funded and is managed by the state.
