TORONTO — Canadian case goods manufacturer Leda Furniture is returning to the High Point Market next month after a three-year absence.
"Times are still challenging, yes, but we feel that the time is right to showcase our introductions in High Point once again," said Marco Confalone, president of the family owned and operated furniture maker. "We have still been introducing new collections even while away from High Point and these new designs will give retailers more of what consumers are wanting in their furniture buying experience."
Leda will show in the International Home Furnishings Center, space H-1112. The spring edition of the High Point Market will be held from April 17 to 22.
One of Leda's introductions will be Fusion - a contemporary bedroom and dining room collection. Confalone said this group combines storage capabilities with smaller, condo-sized scaling. The highlight of collection, he said, is the Reveal bed, which features pull-out storage towers built into the headboard.

"These were specifically designed for bedrooms that cannot easily accommodate night tables," he said. "Consumers save space and money."
Leda's other major product launch will be Lounge, a new group of television stands and wall units.
In addition to new product, Leda will focus on bringing out new finish options and marketing programs during the show.
"The feedback we have received from designers, retailers and from our Web site inquiries has revealed finish options to be a key factor consumers are wanting," Confalone said.
Leda also will be highlighting its Leda Advantage campaign, which promotes the benefits of retailers working with Leda, including domestic production, limited distribution, meaningful communication and quick-ship programs.
"We are anticipating a year of growth in 2010 with a focus on our domestic production and fashion-forward designs," Confalone said.
