Spring Air signs license agreement with Egypt's Bed Janssen
Company will market the full line of Spring Air bedding in four countries

BOSTON — Spring Air International has signed a license agreement with Egypt-based Bed Janssen & Co., a 60-year mattress producer known as American Bedding to its retail customers in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.Based in Cairo, Bed Janssen will launch the Spring Air brand on April 7 and will make and market the full line of Spring Air products, including the Back Supporter, Sleep Sense and Chattam & Wells lines.
"We're very excited to have Bed Janssen, an established and respected mattress manufacturer, as a new licensee, as well as a full-line producer of Spring Air products," said Eric Spitzer, senior vice president of Spring Air.
Mohamed Mostafa, president of Bed Janssen, said the Spring Air umbrella should help his company grow. "We expect that stepping up to a recognized American mattress name will significantly impact our business here in Egypt and in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, where we have equally significant distribution," he said.
The company is expanding its 70,000-square-foot factory to increase its capacity as it introduces the Spring Air brand.
Spitzer said the agreement with Bed Janssen is part of the company's push to expand internationally. "Spring Air is now in 32 countries," he said. "Our objective is not only to continue expanding our brand globally, but also to ensure the full participation from our international partners in marketing the Spring Air brand and products."
