‘Not enough business to survive,' company says
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 18, 2010
BILLINGS, Mont. — Retailer and manufacturer Montana Furniture Galleries is closing its factory and its four remaining stores in the state after 13 years in business, TV station KTVQ here is reporting. The company has stores here and in Bozeman, Missoula and Helena. It already has closed its Kalispell store and will shutter the factory in Bozeman, the station said.
Greg Metzger, owner of Montana Furniture Galleries, said he expects to liquidate the inventory in 60 to 90 days.
"It's tragic in its own way," Metzger told KTVQ. "You can say it's just business. But there are people involved at both ends of the spectrum. It's just sad. It's disappointing. Just not enough business to survive."
