TerraSur to use FSC-certified wood

SEATTLE —
High-end case goods manufacturer TerraSur says it will soon begin using only Forest Stewardship Council-certified hardwoods to make its three top collections.
After next month's High Point Market, the Forza, Fortaleza and Viento groups will contain only FSC-certified woods, the company said in a press release.
TerraSur, which is a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, already purchases wood from suppliers with managed forests or plantations.
Within the next two years, it intends to source all of its hardwoods from suppliers certified by the FSC for managing forests responsibly.
The company's line is made in an Argentina factory that produces exclusively for TerraSur.
“Our factory in Argentina is FSC-certified so it's natural for us to take this significant step toward more sustainable manufacturing,” said Jessica D. Holmstrom, the company's president and founder.
