Ireland to speak at market prayer breakfast
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 22, 2010
HIGH POINT —
Kathy Ireland, CEO and chief designer of Kathy Ireland Worldwide, will share experiences from her recent relief work in Haiti as part of her keynote message at the 16th annual Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast here Saturday, April 17.
Ireland's recent travels have included visits to Israel and earthquake-ravaged Haiti. She will speak about her experiences in both countries and the effect that faith has on all her endeavors. “It is an honor and privilege to be of service whenever possible,” she said.
The breakfast will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the International Home Furnishings Center Ballroom, 11th floor, Green Wing.
Leading in music and worship at the breakfast will be inspirational gospel music singers the Webb Family — Rick and Phyllis Webb and their children Parker, 23, and Hannah, 19. They regularly perform on TV and radio broadcasts and at evangelistic events.
Admission to the breakfast is $25. After expenses, the proceeds go to charities such as Habitat for Humanity and High Point University scholarships. Ireland plans to donate her honorarium to the Alliance of Christian Education.
For reservations, contact Teresa Huffman of Culp at TAHuffman@culp.com or (336) 889-5161 by Friday, April 9. For online reservations and payment, visit www.furniturefellowshipbreakfast.com.
