Thomasville, N.C. — Sun Delivery, a fast-growing home delivery service based here, has added more than $1 million worth of rolling stock to its fleet.
The new vehicles represent the company's continued commitment "to provide the highest level of white-glove delivery service in the country," said Rick Phillips, president.
Phillips said the new trucks have two-way communications equipment as well as GPS navigation systems.
Additionally, he said the company recently purchased Web-based software that provides on-line order tracking for consumers and allows retail stores to view their orders.
Operating from offices in Thomasville, N.C., and Los Angeles, the company offers delivery service throughout the 48 contiguous states.
