EWHT contributing to travel scholarships for FIT
Tom Edmonds -- Furniture Today, February 8, 2010
New York – Non-profit industry group Executive Working in Home Textiles will donate $2,500 to the home department foundation of the Fashion Institute of Technology for a student to attend three key home industry shows this year.
The shows include Maison & Object, the International Housewares Show and the High Point Market.
“Student exposure to major trade shows is a learning component that benefits our industry over many years. EWHT encourages companies and individuals to sponsor one or more students this year so FIT Home Products can continue its excellent program,” said vp of Bardwil Industries’ bath division and EWHT treasurer.
EWHT will present the gift to professors Ingrid Johnson and David Brogna on Feb. 23 at a student trend presentation.
For information about donating to the school’s travel sponsorship program, contact Johnson at (212) 217- 4988 or Ingrid_Johnson@fitnyc.edu.
