New York — Veteran decorative fabrics executive Bill Zales has formed Interiortex LLC, a converter of decorative fabrics.
The company has acquired some of the assets of Clark Holdings, now defunct, with assets that included the archives of the former Cyrus Clark Inc. Interiortex has acquired the rights to some 69 of those designs, Zales said, as well as all of the inventory of the prior company.
Zales, who is operating head of the company, and investors including Donna Cerniglia, and Stephen Osman, is based temporarily in the former Clark showroom at 267 Fifth Avenue here. The warehouse is the former Cyrus Clark facility in Gaffney, SC.
Interiortex also has formed a global alliance with Netherlands-based Texoprint, a converter of upper-end printed fabrics, Zales said. The company will be Texoprint's North American sales agent and Texoprint will represent Interiortex on an export basis.
