Legacy Classic, Sofitalia together in Plaza Suites
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 5, 2010
HIGH POINT —
Case goods importer Legacy Classic Furniture and leather upholstery resource Sofitalia will occupy the entire Club Level floor of Plaza Suites this market.
The companies, which are affiliated with Chinese manufacturer Lacquer Craft, will take up about 68,500 square feet, with Legacy in about 44,000 square feet and Sofitalia taking the rest. The two also will share a common area in a revamped circular lobby.
Legacy had occupied a slightly larger space in Plaza Suites on that same floor, while Sofitalia showed in several thousand square feet in nearby Furniture Plaza.
“The fresh loft look gives our presentation new energy and supports the reinvention of our entire product line that began two markets ago,” Lee Boone, president of Legacy Classic, said in a statement.
Legacy and Sofitalia will host a market party at 5:30 p.m. April 17 featuring music by the Blue Lizards, an industry band that features Legacy Texas sales rep Jerry Farmer.
The renovation is displacing two other tenants — case goods producer Sunny Designs, which is moving to space 703 of the National Furniture Mart, and sofa sleeper and mattress resource Sunset International Trade, which will show in Furniture Plaza space 500.
