Smith to kick off WithIt seminars at market

Jaclyn Smith will kick off the Women in the Home Industries Today's seminars at this week's High Point Market.

Smith will be guest speaker for the industry organization's educational breakfast on Tuesday, April 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Club Level Ballroom A on the Green Wing of the International Home Furnishings Center's 11th floor.

Her topic: "Making Savvy Business Decisions without Sacrificing Your Values." Smith has licensed her brand in products including home furnishings, apparel and beauty products, and has a brand relationship with more than 100 million women.

WithIt's Networking Tent Event, "Unplug and Play," is set for Tuesday, April 8, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Century Courtyard at Historic Market Square. The event will feature Biltmore wine, food and live entertainment, with proceeds going to the WithIt Scholarship Foundation.

A panel of industry experts will discuss the latest trends at market during the Market Competitive Intelligence/Trends Forecast on Thursday, April 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Outer Limits/SECO showroom, 220 Elm, space 311. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

WithIt will conduct its Student Mentoring on Friday, April 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Selva America will host a student luncheon at its showroom at 200 Steele, space 132. Philipp Selva, president and CEO, is guest speaker.

In the mentoring program, volunteers offer market experience and knowledge to visiting college students. Volunteers, who will meet in the High Point Theater at 8:30 a.m. April 11, can visit www.-withit.org or email director@-withit.org for details.
