HIGH POINT —
Italian furniture source Selva Co. has appointed Carlo Moro of the company's Premium Retail Division as sales manager for the U.S. market.
He replaces Mike Herren, who is resuming a post in Italy in the company's contract division after three years in the U.S. job.
Moro worked in the furniture industry for a number of years before joining Selva, a source of bedroom, dining room, occasional and accent upholstery, in 2004. His chief focus at the company has been in business development of markets including the Middle East, where he set up Selva's Dubai branch, and in expanding the Premium Retail business, including the Philipp Selva Home brand.
President and CEO Philipp Selva said the company remains committed to the U.S. market. He commended Herren for his work during his tenure, “during which his commitment ensured Selva's growth and more greatly secured our U.S. position.”
Moro resides in Italy but will visit the United States frequently and will attend the High Point Market, where Selva shows at 200 Steele, space 132.
