Prayer breakfast to feature Wilkinson, Chandler

High Point — Bruce Wilkinson, author of more than 60 books including the best seller "The Prayer of Jabez," will be the keynote speaker at the Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast during the upcoming High Point Market.
The 14th annual breakfast will take place Wednesday, April 9, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the ballroom on the 11th floor of the International Home Furnishings Center, Green wing.
"The Prayer of Jabez" went to the top of the New York Times Bestseller List faster than any book in history, according to breakfast organizers. In addition to his writing, Wilkinson also has built a large Christian seminar organization and has led international relief efforts.
Vernon Chandler of High Point-based Vernon Chandler Ministries will lead the music and worship for the event. Chandler says he has been inspired, taught and encouraged by Wilkinson.
The cost of admission, which includes breakfast, is $20 per person, $100 for a half-table for five people, or $200 for a table for 10 people.
Companies can sponsor the Prayer Breakfast by making a contribution of $100, $250, $500 or more in addition to the cost of admission. All sponsors receive recognition in the event's program. Sponsorship covers costs and supports charitable contributions.
