LONGMEADOW, Mass. —
The Dovetail Alliance, a consortium of home furnishings industry service providers, has launched a Web site in time for the High Point Market, which runs April 17-22.
The site at www.dovetailalliance.com allows retailers, manufacturers and others in the industry to find service providers in areas such as credit card processing, human resources, retail store help and trucking and delivery. It also features profiles of alliance members and stories and news from industry publications.
Dovetail Alliance member Zeno Blue eMarketing created the new site.
Dovetail Alliance, which formed in October, is showing at the market in the National Home Furnishings Assn.'s Retail Resource Center in Plaza Suites, spaces 7-9 and 19.
Ed Borowsky, founder of the alliance, said the Web site and High Point showroom will serve as key resources the industry. “As an organization, we continue to mark important milestones in our development and the Internet will be a vital resource for our clients and will be the starting point for organizations seeking innovative business solutions,” he said.
At market, Borowsky and Dovetail Alliance President Martin Roberts will give the seminar “It's Not Working Anymore. Sales and Operational Strategies for Success in Today's Economy,” from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Retail Resource Center. The seminar will offer guidance on handling the changing market with information on market research, advertising with new media, videoconferencing and leasing and insurance options.
