PLANO, Texas —
Robb & Stucky Interiors held a retail event at its store here for the launch of high-end Mexican manufacturer Taracea's Hearst Castle Collection of case goods.
More than 100 consumers attended the event, which featured a presentation by Hearst Castle's longtime museum director, Hoyt Fields.
The presentation focused on the life of the late publisher William Randolph Hearst and his 32-year collaboration with architect Julia Morgan on the construction of his famous 165-room home in San Simeon, Calif. The home and grounds are open to the public as part of the California state parks system.
Fields signed copies of his book, “Hearst's San Simeon, the Gardens and the Land.”
