AVB/BrandSource holding national sweepstakes

ANAHEIM, Calif. —
Furniture, electronics and appliance buying group AVB/BrandSource has announced a national sweepstakes promotion offering consumers a chance to win a 2011 Ford Fiesta and other prizes from suppliers including Whirlpool and Mitsubishi.
BrandSource said the “Win with Force” sweepstakes is just one of several national marketing initiatives it will launch this year to expose its brand to consumers and drive traffic to stores and the BrandSource Web site. The sweepstakes name is a play on the name of the NHRA John Force Racing drag race team BrandSource has sponsored since 2006.
The group has operated a “Win With Force” campaign at racing events and online, but this year's program adds prizes from other NHRA sponsors, including Castrol, Ford, Mac Tools, AAA Auto Club of Southern California, and Pleasant Holidays, BrandSource said in a release.
Fans attending NHRA events can enter the sweepstakes, and consumers will be able to enter at BrandSource stores and online at www.brandsource.com. BrandSource also will hold a monthly online drawing on Energy Star appliances and flat-panel televisions.
“It's amazing to see how far we've come in just a few seasons in terms of interacting with the race fans,” said BrandSource CEO Bob Lawrence.
“At our first promotional event in 2006 we gave away one large-screen TV. With all of the team partners involved fans can now win over $100,000 worth of prizes through the (promotion).”
Member-owned BrandSource serves more than 4,500 retailers with 7,500 stores.
