Alden Parkes promotes Jeff Gillis to sales manager

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — High-end case goods and upholstery resource Alden Parkes has promoted Jeff Gillis to sales manager.
He replaces Ron Glosson, who was promoted to vice president of contract and hospitality sales, a new position.
Gillis joined the company in September 2008 as a sales representative handling the Carolinas, Kentucky and Tennessee. Earlier, he held sales roles with Schonbek Lighting, Selva International, Maitland-Smith and John-Richard.
He reports to Lynne McArdle, president and CEO, and will be responsible for hiring and managing the company's North American sales reps.
"He has exceptional management skills and organizationally, he is superb," McArdle said. "He is an excellent motivator of people and an excellent judge of character.... His goal is to give excellent support and training to each of the reps on board so that they excel."
