Warren R. Edmundson, Midwest sales rep
GLADSTONE, Mo. — Warren R. Edmundson, a longtime furniture sales representative in Kansas and Missouri, has died after battling lupus, heart disease and lung cancer. He was 69.
He started his home furnishings career at Riverside before becoming a lead rep with Stratford, Universal and La-Z-Boy, from which he retired on Dec. 31, 2005.
After retirement, Edmundson volunteered in the cardiac cath lab at North Kansas City Hospital. He also enjoyed cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats, the Kansas City Chiefs and his grandchildren's sports teams.
He is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, six grandchildren and a brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 5701 Columbia Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63139.
Phillip Reynolds, VP of sales, Laneventure
HICKORY, N.C. — Phillip Wayne “Flip” Reynolds, an executive with casual home furnishings source Laneventure, has died after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 55.
Reynolds worked his entire career with Laneventure and Lane, divisions of Furniture Brands International. He spent the past 16 years as vice president of sales for Laneventure.
Reynolds was active in the industry, including serving as a past board member of the Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Assn.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, a granddaughter and a brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the City of Hickory Fire Department/Station Six, the National MS Society or the American Cancer Society.
Donald W. Virgin, sales rep, consultant
LEONIA, N.J. — Donald W. Virgin, a furniture sales representative and consultant to retailers for more than 30 years, has died. He was 64.
Early in his career, Virgin was a buyer at T. Eaton Co. in Toronto.
He is survived by his wife, four children, a grandson, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
