EQ3 plans first Florida store for Miami
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 20, 2008
Miami Beach, Fla. — EQ3 is planning to open an 11,000-square foot showroom here — its first Florida store — later this year.
The corporate-owned store is expected to open in the fourth quarter at Midtown Park on North Miami Avenue.
The 20-store contemporary home furnishings retailer and manufacturer, part of the Palliser family of businesses, is led by President Peter Tielmann, who founded the program in 2001. EQ3 started as a gallery concept before opening its first franchised store in Canada in 2002.
The Miami Beach store is one of at least nine EQ3s opening through the balance of this year, including units in Dallas, New York, Atlanta, Paramus, N.J., and Edmonton, Alberta. Also on tap this year are EQ3's first two franchise stores outside North America, in Thailand and Bahrain.
