Wynwood sues Endura
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 27, 2008
Greensboro, N.C. — Case goods resource Wynwood Furniture has filed a lawsuit against Endura Furniture, accusing the company of copying its Cordoba bedroom group.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court here, accuses Endura of copyright infringement, trade dress infringement, unfair competition and deceptive trade practices.
In court documents, Wynwood said Endura's Seville bedroom group looks "substantially identical and confusingly similar" to Cordoba.
Wynwood, a division of DMI Furniture, is seeking preliminary and permanent injunctions prohibiting Endura from further copyright infringement. It also seeks unspecified monetary damages from Endura, and asks the court to impound and destroy all remaining inventory from the Seville collection.
