By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 4, 2008
High Point — The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation is opening nominations of candidates to be inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame later this year. Only members of the foundation are eligible to nominate and vote.
"We encourage everyone in the industry to play this vital role in honoring and preserving the record of accomplishment of our industry's great leaders," said Don Coleman, president of the AFHF Foundation. "It is one of our greatest responsibilities to future generations, as well as a great privilege afforded to members of the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation."
Members may make nominations through May 15. Ballots, along with a list of nominees and biographical information, will be mailed June 18 and members have until July 31 to vote. The winners will be announced and inducted at the AFHF banquet Oct. 21 during the fall High Point Market.
Nomination forms and lists of current members, previous nominees and inductees are available on the AFHF Web site at www.furniturehalloffame.com. Printed copies of the documents are available by calling (336) 882-5900.
AFHF memberships are available at the individual and corporate level, and contributions are tax deductible.
