ITMA sets agenda for Showtime

High Point fabric market takes place June 1-4

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 6, 2008

HIGH POINT — Several social and educational events are scheduled during Showtime, the semiannual fabric market sponsored by the International Textile Market Assn., to be held here June 1-4.

The fabric exhibition usually draws guests from more than 800 companies, largely from the home furnishings industry, to view introductions and order decorative products from ITMA member mills, converters, tanneries and trim manufacturers.

“At Showtime, those leaders begin their search for the right design to marry with their product. It’s what makes Showtime exciting,” said ITMA Director Catherine Morsell.

The Studio at Showtime will return to Suites at Market Square, with more than 12 textile design studios exhibiting original artwork and antique documents used for product development.

Design Options, a California-based trend forecasting firm, will give a presentation on Fall/Winter 2009, the West Coast Perspective, at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3.

For information about Showtime, call the ITMA at (336) 885-6842 or look online at www.itma-showtime.com.
