SAN DIEGO — Jerome's Furniture here has restructured its business services team, hiring Pam Fettu as vice president of human resources and promoting Aimee Lumbo to director of finance.
Lumbo started with Jerome's Furniture when she was 18 as a temp worker in the delivery department. She worked her way up through the Top 100 company, getting her degree in accounting while working full time.
She has been controller since 2008, and in her new role, is taking on the additional responsibilities of former Chief Financial Officer Paul Sanford, who has left the company.
"Aimee's promotion to director of finance is a great example of hard work intersecting with opportunity," said Jerome's President and CEO Lee Goodman.
Fettu previously worked for La Jolla Institute, a nonprofit for policy research, education and economic development. She has 20 years of experience, including 13 years at retail software company Escalate. Her focus on "corporate wellness programs, leadership development, and superior employee programs, align with the Jerome's mission," the company said in a release.
Jerome's operates eight stores in Southern California and recently announced its expansion into the Los Angeles area with a store opening in Torrance, Calif., in the fourth quarter.
