In today's dog-eat-dog market, you're moving forward, not moving at all or even worse, you're moving backwards. That's true for retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and the business publications that serve them.
And that's why Furniture/Today is always on the lookout for ways not only to deliver more news more often, but to also enhance the ways you can communicate with us.
We've done both, and I want to briefly tell you about each initiative.
As you know, prior to each market, we invite suppliers to submit information and pictures about furniture and bedding introductions via mail, fax or online.
To simplify and expedite this process, beginning immediately, we are encouraging you to submit information and photos of introductions at our Web site, www.furnituretoday.com.
In preparation for our Vegas show issues, a link to the product information submission area appears at the upper right of Furniture/Today home page, under the banner of Wanted: Product Information and Photos. An additional link is located on the left side of the home page, under the tag of Editorial Invitations.
A quick click on either link takes you to a complete set of forms for each of the major product categories. You'll also find helpful information about how to submit digital images for inclusion in the First Look section and other Furniture/Today market coverage.
The First Look section, which will appear in the July 28 issue distributed at the Las Vegas Market, is the industry's most comprehensive preview of new products featured at the show.
Furniture/Today also will run a detailed listing of product introductions in its July 21 issue, one week prior to market. The deadline for all submissions is June 27.
While the Web site offers the easiest way to submit product information, exhibitors also can submit information to us by regular mail or fax.
Also, as part of our initiative to bring you even more news more often, our print edition now lists the headlines for a number of stories that are Web-exclusive initiatives. Our goal is that you utilize all the great information found in the newspaper and online to help you grow your business in these challenging times.
