LENOIR, N.C. — Broyhill Home Furnishings has named Tom Little to the new position of vice president of sales and merchandising.
He most recently was at Craftmaster, where he oversaw sales, marketing and merchandising for the company's upholstery line. Little also has worked in upholstery sales for Bassett Furniture.
At Broyhill, he reports to Anthony Teague, vice president of upholstery merchandising.
In a statement, the company said he will work with Teague and Deitra Smith, merchandise manager of upholstery, to diversify and expand the company's upholstery line and grow the customer base. He also will work with the company's Design Center of Excellence, which helps develop “more relevant product across all categories” and helps retailers boost sales of the Broyhill line.
“Our upholstery program is experiencing explosive growth,” said Broyhill President Jeff Cook. “We created Tom's position to be sure we continue to introduce the right product at the right time and to do that by directly integrating the feedback of the sales team with the creative juices of the merchandising team. Tom is one of the few individuals in the industry who has a demonstrated track record of combining both sales and merchandising skill sets and doing it well. He will be a powerful addition to our leadership team.”
