CHICAGO – The art of Betty Whiteaker will soon be available on several new baby bedding collections by House of Hatten Inc.
The three beds, Two by Two, Mamas and Babies, and Garden Bunnies, will also be offered in a variety of items. All three will be introduced during the October Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association Show in Dallas and will be available to retailers this winter.
"Betty's art, with its charm, whimsy and pastel palette are a proven entity," said David Hatten, president of Hatten House, based here. "Consumers today are seeking classic looks for their baby's room vs. the cartoon character-driven trend of the past."
Two by Two features various animals, including elephants, hippopotamuses, zebras, on an ark with an animal-print background. The theme is continued on the coordinating bumper and dust ruffle. Coordinating ceramic accessories are also offered.
Mamas and Babies illustrates the affection between animal mothers and their offspring by featuring appliques of animal mothers with their babies on the quilt. Blocks of yellow check, blue toile and blue ticking fabric provide accents and divide each scene. A coordinating bumper, dust ruffle and crib sheet are offered.
Rounding out the collection is Garden Bunnies, which features appliqued bunnies and their animal friends, surrounded by a garden setting and done on a green and white background.
The three sets will be offered through department, specialty and gift stores. Retail price points for the bedding collections will range between $210 and $430. Accessories will start at an $8 retail price point.
