Features array of brands, exclusives

NEW YORK — Macy’s has opened an expanded bedding department at its flagship Herald Square store here, featuring beds by Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Aireloom, Tempur-Pedic, Beautyrest Black Label and Macy’s exclusive Hotel Collection in nearly 10,000 square feet.
The department has softer lighting and wider aisles to allow customers to navigate through a sea of mattresses with ease, the company said. New dual samples have firm and plush sides that let consumers find their sleeping preferences.
Also, a new specialty section includes visco and latex mattresses. A number of new products, exclusive to Macy’s, include the Aireloom Horse Hair mattress, a Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress, the World Class Beautyrest, and the new Sealy Posturepedic PurEmbrace latex line.
“Macy’s is excited about our exclusive partnership with Sealy,” said Lisa Magann, vice president of mattresses and area rugs for Macy’s, which has more than 800 stores in 45 states. “Consumers are really starting to link health to a good night’s sleep and they’re willing to invest in a specialty product like Sealy Posturepedic PurEmbrace that delivers superior construction and comfort.”
