Tupelo market to consolidate into one complex
Exhibitors will move from tornado-damaged structure

TUPELO, Miss. — As a result of extensive damage to portions of the Mississippi Complex from a tornado in May, executives of the Tupelo Furniture Market confirmed that the market will relocate almost all the exhibitors there to showrooms in the six buildings of the Tupelo Complex.
The market’s most recent directory indicated that some 75 exhibitors had occupied the Mississippi Complex at the February show.
“We are in the process of transitioning those exhibitors now and (nearly) everyone will be in place under one roof when America’s Promotional Market opens on Aug. 21,” confirmed V.M. Cleveland, the market’s chairman and CEO. "Anytime you can bring buyers and sellers together in a more focused, convenient and time-efficient platform, you create a win-win situation for everyone involved.”
However, one company, Caye Home Furnishings, will still show in Hall A of the Mississippi Complex for the August show. The market will provide shuttle service to that showroom from the Tupelo complex.
Even with the consolidation, the venue will still have some 1.6 million square feet of exhibit space and will showcase home furnishings from more than 700 exhibitors. The market’s summer run is set for Aug. 21-24.
Cleveland added that no decisions had yet been made regarding the future utilization of the Mississippi Complex.
