Crown Mark, Leather Italia expand Tupelo presence
Joan Gunin -- Furniture Today, July 6, 2008
TUPELO, Miss. — The 30,000-square-foot showroom space vacated by AICO after February's Tupelo Furniture Market will be split between case goods importer Crown Mark and leather upholstery specialist Leather Italia USA.
Crown Mark will occupy 19,400 square feet and Leather Italia will use 10,000 square feet at the market, which runs Aug. 21-24.
Leather Italia also will continue to exhibit in its current 5,000-square-foot temporary spot in the front of its new showroom. The entrance will be in the Tupelo Complex, Building 3, space 3034.
“This is an exciting move for us and shows the amount of growth we have been experiencing this year,” said Leather Italia President and CEO Michael Campbell. “We will also have ample room to show our new Motion Italia product line.”
Much of the existing temporary space will be dedicated to Motion Italia product, while the stationary line will move to the permanent showroom.
Crown Mark will relocate from its 14,000-square-foot showroom in Mississippi Complex. In the new location, its entrance will be from the Tupelo Complex, Building 6, space 6018.
Vice President Joseph Ngo said Crown Mark would also utilize the temporary space in front of its showroom.
Crown Mark is among a number of exhibitors relocating from the Mississippi Complex to the Tupelo Complex because of tornado damage to the Mississippi building in May.
