Restonic appoints Passaglia president and CEO
Bedding veteran begins duties at Las Vegas Market

PALATINE, Ill. – Bedding industry veteran Ron Passaglia has been named president and CEO of Top 15 mattress producer Restonic.
Passaglia, who has spent 35 years in the industry, will begin his new duties at this month’s Las Vegas Market, which opens July 28.
“We are very encouraged to have Ron join Restonic and being his extensive capabilities and success with brand development and implementation,” said Steve Russo, Restonic’s interim president and CEO since late 2006. “He brings a wealth of front-line knowledge … and a proven track record of successful execution.”
Russo will remain on Restonic’s board of directors to facilitate a smooth transition, the company said.
Passaglia is best known for his 25-year stint at Simmons from 1973-98, when held a variety of sales, marketing and senior management positions.
Most recently, he was CEO of Selther USA, the U.S. marketing arm of Mexican bedding producer Groupo Selther. Before that, he was president of Verlo Mattress Factory Stores, a Wisconsin-based factory-direct retailer.
“The opportunity to join a re-energized Restonic, play a key role in revitalizing and consolidating the brand focus, and help the company get to the next level make this a challenge I couldn’t pass up,” Passaglia said.
