Griggs joins Ergomotion as VP of sales
Adjustable bed veteran will contribute to sales and marketing

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Bedding veteran Johnny Griggs has joined Ergomotion as vice president of sales, a new position at the adjustable bed maker.
He will be responsible for managing and growing corporate account business, developing and implementing customer sales training, managing the independent sales representative team, and working with the marketing department.
Griggs, who has been in the industry more than 28 years, also will work with top management at the company and reports to President Kelly Clenet. Griggs is taking over duties previously handled by Gui Peres, who remains marketing director.
Griggs most recently was sales director, Southwest region, for Leggett & Platt’s adjustable bed division. Earlier, he was director of sales for Orthomatic Adjustable Beds, managed bedding sales for former Top 100 store Benchmark Home Furnishings in Olathe, Kan., and worked in sales and management at bedding manufacturers Spring Air and Lady Americana.
“Johnny is expected to bring a new perspective to Ergomotion as we grow our business with existing and new customers,” said Clenet. “I describe him as the ‘Tony Robbins of adjustable beds.’ He is a dynamic individual.”
Ergomotion will show at this month’s Las Vegas Market in the World Market Center, space C-1355.
