Bedding Experts make-a-wish

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. — Retailer The Bedding Experts has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make the dreams of 12 children come true.
The company, with 104 stores in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, will sponsor the dream of one child each month. Make-A-Wish helps grant the wishes of children who are seriously ill.
The new campaign adds significance to the retailer's slogan, “Where Dreams Come True.” Tommie Saylors, owner of the chain, often works with charitable causes and chose to partner with Make-A-Wish to celebrate The Bedding Experts' 25th anniversary.
“We are proud to make dreams come true, and to bring community awareness to this wonderful cause,” said Joe Cutrone, the retailer's general sales manager.
Cutrone said Bedding Experts is running a full-page ad in the Chicago Tribune the third week of every month to tell the story of that month's child. The children also have their pictures displayed in every Bedding Experts store and sales associates wear polo shirts with the Make-A-Wish logo.
Abby, a vivacious four-year-old from Lemont, Ill., got to be a princess for a week when she and her parents were flown to Disneyworld in January. Despite her battle with brain cancer, Abby loves to sing and dance and take care of other kids.
Jase, from Elmhurst, Ill., got to visit the Kennedy Space Center and meet an astronaut last month. The five-year-old is battling leukemia but reads high school level books on astronomy and physics.
Ten more children will get their dreams made into a reality this year, including the March Make-A-Wish kid, Alyssa, who wants a princess bedroom.
