Had been interim CEO since March

ARCHDALE, N.C. — Larry Rogers, Sealy’s interim CEO since March, has been named president and CEO of the mattress industry sales leader.
Rogers, who has been with Sealy since 1979, was given the top post permanently after what Sealy’s board described as a thorough search that included internal and external candidates.
“After careful review, the board determined that Larry possesses the most unique and compelling set of skills and qualities to lead the company,” said Paul Norris, board chairman. “With over 30 years of experience in the bedding industry … he has established solid customer relationships and a deep understanding of our company and the industry.”
Before he was named interim CEO, Rogers was president of Sealy’s North American business and prior to that, its international business.
“We have a strong management team in place, and we will remain focused on making further progress on our strategic initiatives,” said Rogers. “I am confident these actions will strengthen our position as the market share leader in the industry with even stronger growth potential.”
Rogers became interim CEO when longtime Sealy executive David McIlquham resigned in March.
