Third-generation furniture transport exec Jeff Murrow dies at 47

HIGH POINT — Jeff Murrow, 47, a third-generation furniture transporter, died here Tuesday after a seven-year battle with cancer.
Murrow was vice president and general manager of Murrow's Transfer, a specialized furniture carrier that services 23 states, working with his father and company president, Fred Murrow. The company was founded by Jeff's grandfather, William C. Murrow.
In addition to his father, Murrow is survived by his wife, Angela, and his three children. He is also survived by his grandmother, his mother, a sister and other family members.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Green Street Baptist Church in High Point. Visitation will be held at the church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be given to the Jeff Murrow Memorial Athletic Complex and Facilities Fund at www.hpcacougars.org.
