SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Specialized furniture carrier American West has hired Scott Lindsay as general manager of its Southern California facility and promoted four other senior managers.
Lindsay is joining the company after a 27-year stint with Roadrunner, a publicly traded less-than-truckload carrier in Texas and California.
"First and foremost, Scott is a great person who cares about people, customers and team building," said Josh Brown, American West's CEO. "Scott also brings 30 years of LTL experience and success to us. American West has always been fortunate to hire exceptional people who care about our associates and our customers (and) we are blessed to have Scott join our growing team."
In addition, the company has promoted Gigi Catapano Brown to vice president of brokerage and line haul; Michelle Crow to vice president of administration, information technology and agents; Reed Cullum to vice president of operations nationwide; and Noah Brown to vice president of sales nationwide.
Gigi Brown will manage truckload and large volume shipments, and also is responsible for all line-haul, while Crow's responsibilities will include a new Web-based tracing and tracking system that will be unveiled prior to the October High Point Market.
Cullum will be responsible for all terminal operations, including company-owned tractors and trailers, while Noah Brown will oversee American West's sales team following his successful stint overseeing the western region.
"I am excited to see the additional customer support these new positions will provide," said Josh Brown.
The company now provides LTL and truckload shipments from all states, and offers threshold and white-glove delivery to every U.S. ZIP code.
