Boyd Specialty Sleep sales exec Larry Wride dies at 66

ST. LOUIS — Longtime bedding industry executive Larry Wride, southeast regional sales manager for Boyd Specialty Sleep, died last month at age 66.
"Anyone who knew Larry will remember him as an enthusiastic and optimistic person, a man wholly dedicated to his family and passionate about his work," said Denny Boyd, president of Boyd Specialty Sleep. "He will be greatly missed both personally and professionally by many people inside and outside our company. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very trying time."
Before joining Boyd Specialty Sleep as a regional sales manager in 2004, Wride worked for several producers in the bedding industry, including Comfortaire and Simmons, in executive sales and marketing posts.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, three children, and six grandchildren. His fourth child, Kimberlee, died on June 9, shortly before Wride's unexpected death from a heart attack.
