Descartes honors L&P, Crate & Barrel for logistics

WATERLOO, Ontario — Two furniture industry companies received Customer Excellence and Innovation Awards at the Descartes Systems Group user conference in Atlanta.
Crate & Barrel was presented the award for customer service and Leggett & Platt received the award for visibility.
Other recipients included Alliance Imaging, American Airlines Cargo, Concord Transportation, DHL, Hitachi, Routing Systems Information and CVS Pharmacy.
Decartes is a provider of logistics software.
Top 100 retailer Crate & Barrel uses Descartes' On-Demand Visibility and Routing Solution for optimized route planning and to provide real-time visibility into its delivery operations, along with reporting capabilities.
Decartes said Crate & Barrel has made significant strides in improving service.
Leggett & Platt has used Descartes software to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs while improving customer service and integrating with existing technology investments, according to Descartes.
