WithIt scholars named

Las Vegas — Two North Carolina college students in interior design are winners of WithIt scholarships for the 2008–2009 school year, the organization announced here during last week's market.
WithIt, or Women in the Home Industries Today, also kicked off a new "R U WithIt?" membership drive.
The scholarship winners are Catherine Claire Keane, a student at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., and Shannon Rae Peterson, who attends Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. Each will receive $2,500 toward tuition and expenses. They will be recognized at WithIt's annual WOW awards dinner Aug. 13 at the Renaissance hotel in Charlotte, N.C.
WithIt's educational foundation kicked off a campaign last year to raise $100,000 by 2009 to provide more scholarships. More information is available on the organization's Web site at www.withit.org.
