Campbell leaves Stanley Furniture

Stanleytown, Va. — Longtime Stanley Furniture executive Robin Campbell has left the company as part of a restructuring of its sales and marketing department.
Campbell has been with Stanley more than 30 years, serving most recently as manager of marketing services.
"There's not a management group out there that has appreciated what an associate has done more than Robin Campbell," said Glenn Prillaman, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "We will do everything we can to help her find the next opportunity."
"I have been fortunate to work for Stanley Furniture for 32 ½ years," said Campbell. "It has been a wonderful career experience.
"I now look forward to moving on to the next opportunity in my life."
Prillaman added that Stanley has reassigned duties for a number of positions in customer service and sales and marketing as a result of the current economic situation.
"It's a difficult time for the entire industry," said Prillaman. "We are making a number of moves to keep our company profitable and competitive."
Last month, Stanley announced that it will close its Lexington, N.C., manufacturing plant, eliminating 350 jobs over the next three months.
Stanley plans to consolidate that production into its Robbinsville, N.C., plant. As part of that process, the company plans to add 200 jobs in Robbinsville in the next two years.
