More than 1,200 expected to attend

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 11, 2008

ARLINGTON, Va. — Furniture and bedding manufacturers interested in new developments regarding foams made of renewable resources, as well as viscoelastic foams and flame retardant technology, may want to attend the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference sponsored by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council.

The Sept. 29-Oct. 1 conference in San Antonio will include more than 100 technical papers and poster presentations, educational seminars, the annual Innovation Awards and a polyurethane professional development program. The association expects the conference to attract more than 1,200 people from 40 countries.

“The pace for innovation for renewable content polyurethane foams for the global furniture and bedding industries just keeps accelerating,” said Neeva-Gayle Candelori of CPI. “Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference is a perfect opportunity for furniture decision-makers to get the latest updates directly from innovators during two dedicated technical sessions, as well as make new contacts and share ideas and concerns with their peers.”

For more information, call the center at (703) 741-5103 or go to www.americanchemistry.com/polyurethane for entry forms or to register.
