Ken Butler named COO at Aaron Rents

Will continue to lead Sales & Lease Ownership division

ATLANTA — Ken Butler has been promoted to chief operating officer of Aaron Rents here.

Butler, 55 and a 34-year veteran of the rent-to-own and rental retailer, previously was president of the company’s Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership division.

As COO, he is filling the former post of Robert “Robin” Loudermilk Jr., who was promoted to president and CEO in June. Butler will continue to lead the Sales & Lease Ownership division, said Gil Danielson, chief financial officer.

Loudermilk said Butler has earned his new role, and that his “industry knowledge, skills, and experience will enable us to continue our strong growth and performance well into the future.”

Butler joined Aaron in 1974 as a store manager and rose through the ranks to become president of the Sales & Lease Ownership division in 1995. Under his leadership, the division has become the company’s growth leader, with more than 1,500 company-operated and franchised stores.
