Malaysia show set for March 3-7

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — The 15th edition of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair, MIFF 2009, is scheduled for March 3-7 at the Putra World Trade Center and the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Center here.
The two venues, totaling 278,870 square feet, are connected by a non-stop shuttle service during the show.
According to an external audit, this year's show drew 19,549 visitors, including 7,410 international buyers from 137 countries, and generated US$690 million in sales. Buyers came from Europe (20.9%), the Southeast Asia region (17.9%), the Middle East (12.4%), Australia (9.7%) and the Far East (7.6%).
MIFF organizers said they are striving to keep the show a design-oriented event that excels in style, innovation and quality, to cater to the needs of the international market.
