Cantrex Group will meet in Sept.

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 10, 2008

For the first time, Cantrex Group's national convention will unite members and suppliers from all three of the buying group's divisions — including furniture, household appliances and bedding; consumer electronics and photography; and floor covering and home décor.

The event will take place Sept. 13-14 at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal. A trade show will be held at Place Bonaventure over the same two days.

This year's convention theme will be “A Solid Partnership: Achieving Success Together.”

“The theme reflects Cantrex's core values and driving force over the past several years,” said Alain Masse, Cantrex president and general manager. “This important event is essential for the industries we serve and is a great opportunity for members of the Cantrex family to reinforce ties while anticipating a prosperous and successful future.”

Specifics about the conference agenda, speakers and trade show participants will be announced over the coming weeks.

Cantrex, a subsidiary of Sears Canada, serves approximately 1,200 storefronts across Canada.
