Jofran adding Seattle warehouse

Will serve Northwest, western Canada

Staff Staff -- Furniture Today, August 22, 2008

NORFOLK, Mass. -- Casual dining and occasional source Jofran plans to open its third U.S. warehouse in Seattle by the end of the year.

The 35,000-square-foot facility will serve the company's growing customer base in the Northwest and western Canada, stocking about 55 casual dining groups and 40 occasional groups. The facility will provide quick-ship service for small and medium-sized retailers and also serve as a backup source for large retailers buying direct from the company's warehouses in China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Jofran's other U.S. warehouses are in Los Angeles and Norfolk, Mass., where it is headquartered in a 235,000-square-foot facility.

"There's a terrific independent customer base there in the Northwest," said Joff Roy, president of Jofran, about the expansion.
