3PD makes publications' Top 100 lists

ATLANTA — 3PD, a logistics provider with several furniture industry clients, has been named to the Top 100 lists of three trade publications that cover transportation and logistics.
The company was named one of the “100 Great Supply Chain Partners” by Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management magazine, and also made the “Top 100 3PL” list compiled by Inbound Logistics magazine.
Both lists were compiled from nominations made by readers. Global Logistics & Supply Chain said it received nearly 2,000 nominations, while Inbound Logistics said it had more than 400 nominations.
In addition, 3PD was ranked 75th on the list of “Top 100 For-Hire Carriers” compiled by Transport Topics, a magazine published by the American Trucking Assn. That listing is based on annual revenues.
It marked the company's second appearance on the Inbound Logistics list and first appearance on the other two lists.
“Although we've been around for seven years and reached the point where we're making nearly five million deliveries a year, honors like this truly put a company on the map in terms of name recognition,” said Karl Meyer, CEO.
