Standard promotes Burden, Ussery
Execs have new marketing, sales roles

BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Standard Furniture has promoted two employees in sales and marketing roles.Gin Burden, who joined the case goods and occasional furniture source last year as a graphic designer, was named director of marketing. Burden will lead communication efforts, brand development and design, and will supervise marketing activities.
She replaces William Behrends, who was named to the position in 2007 after five years as creative director. Behrends left the company last week, Burden said.
Tim Ussery was named national sales manager, a new role. Ussery has been with the company for five years as a sales representative in the Chicago area. He will oversee Standard's national sales team and will focus on business development.
Both will report to Todd Evans, executive vice president of sales.
