Comfort Solutions adds Sleeptronic as licensee

Dallas company will distribute in several states

David Perry -- Furniture Today, September 25, 2008

WILLOWBROOK, Ill. — Top 10 bedding producer Comfort Solutions has signed Dallas-based bedding producer Sleeptronic as its licensee for several southern and southwestern states.

"We are thrilled to add Sleeptronic to our growing family of licensees," said Dave Roberts, president of Comfort Solutions, based here. "Geographically, they will cover a very important part of the country for us and we know they will represent the brands at the highest level."

Sleeptronic, which has been producing mattresses for more than 25 years, becomes the 11th domestic licensee for Comfort Solutions. They will supply branded bedding to Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico, in addition to some Midwestern states.

"King Koil (a Comfort Solutions brand) is a very well-known brand in our market and we look forward to capitalizing on the high name recognition, while working to place Laura Ashley and other Comfort Solutions branded products in the marketplace," said Andy Sunderji, president of Sleeptronic. "This is a great organization and we are proud to be part of it."

"We expect to learn a great deal by joining Comfort Solutions," added Alim Sunderji, vice president of Sleeptronic. "Through this relationship we'll take our manufacturing capabilities and expertise to a new level. This collaboration places us at the leading edge of the industry. We have already begun investing in new technology and manufacturing equipment as a result of signing the agreement."

Sleeptronic will begin holding open houses in the World Trade Center in Dallas in early December to showcase its new Comfort Solutions line. Sleeptronic says it has the largest mattress showroom in the WTC. Then Sleeptronic will add the Comfort Solutions models to its showroom in Tupelo, Miss.

Shipments of Comfort Solutions products are expected to begin within 45 days, Sleeptronic said.
